how can i learn to be comfortable with my weight?
i am 17 and 125 lbs which isnt exactly fat but because im short it looks like i weigh more. i do kickboxing twice a week and try to eat right but even though im “healthy” according to my doctor and a bmi scale i still find myself insecure about my body. i know everyone feels like this at one time or another but i get really depressed when my mind is focused on my weight. any tips on how to be comfortable with myself the way i am?
I’m a skinny guy who would be the one who gets sand kicked in his face at the beach. I finally just came to terms with it. It doesn’t seem to matter how much I exercise I get or how much I lift weights. I’m still the scrawny guy. Yeah, I know I’m 52, and it took me a long time to just accept myself, but I want you to accept yourself a lot sooner than that. You aren’t fat. If you feel fat, think of yourself as a “buxom” woman. A lot of guys (including me) would rather see someone who is at her “right” weight than those skinny model types who are in the ads. And don’t focus on your weight; it just makes you anxious about it. I can tell by your question that you’re intelligent and that’s more important than your weight. And if all else fails, get rid of the mirrors in your house.
