Daito Katana

Plsease help on script, based on Katana’s swords.?
I ordered a Daito Musashi Paul Chen Katana. It says that the Edge: HRC 60, Mune: 40 and 1060 carbon steel blade? Where can i learn about the hardness of steel, carbon, the HRC, the Mune? Id be greatfull for any guides
HRC is the Rockwell Hardness scale.
The Edge is the blade edge itself, the Mune is the weighted back end of the sword. See this link: http://www.nihontocraft.com/nihonto_general_terms.html
So essentially it is saying the blade has a Rockwell Hardness of 60, and the back edge (non cutting edge) has a Hardness of 40.
HRC of 60 is the upper end of the hardness for steel, so that is good to go.
1060 is the AISI Steel grade of the blade, with the first two digits indicating the type of carbon steel, and the last two being the amount of carbon in it. Meaning in this example that .60% of the weight is carbon.
Essentially is looks to be a quality blade.
I included links that describes everything, hope it helps you out.
