Baggy Short
Are there any baggy padded shorts for bike riding? My mountain bike seat kills my butt! What can i do?
I agree with jasbo. If you ride a lot, a firm padded saddle will be more comfortable – gel saddles or covers will actually be worse. Your saddle must fit you well or it may always hurt. If you’re just starting to ride you need time for you rear to become accustom to the saddle/riding. Padded baggies may be available – IDK though. You could wear standard padded shorts under neath though. Also, I find MTB trail riding easier on my butt that road riding. Maybe your sitting too much over rough terrain? I stand or at least unweight a lot in MTB riding opposed to road cycling.
